About The Funk Zone

The Funk Zone is a unique Santa Barbara arts, culture, business, and industrial district between State Street and Garden Street, and Montecito Street to Cabrillo Boulevard. This amalgamation of historical marine structures, industrial lots, and houses has a unique history in manufacturing, lumber, citrus, produce, and fishing. Over the years, many artists have found creative freedom by carving out studio spaces in this β€œfunky” area of Santa Barbara, and so have wineries, restaurants, art galleries, and shops.

Located at 137 Anacapa St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101, The Funk Zone operates as an attraction serving Santa Barbara in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In Santa Barbara, the cafes inside museums, botanical gardens and visitor centers are a good option on a day out, and city parks often host a coffee cart or a seasonal concession stand. Across California, state and national parks list their concession hours online and close early outside the summer season. Check the listing for hours, admission requirements and the Google rating, and use the main cafe and bakery categories for everyday coffee, since the places here are grouped by location rather than by what they serve.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, funkzone.net.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 249 reviews, which is a strong result for an attraction in Santa Barbara and suggests consistent service.

Santa Barbara is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Barbara follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Not exactly a destination in itself, but there are a lot of cool businesses lining the streets throughout the area, and a handful of interesting street murals. Lots of breweries and wine tasting, plus some good restaurants.

Many wineries and breweries. Very chic. Unfortunately a lot of good restaurants were only open after 5pm.

Absolutely loved The Funk Zone. Taking a family trip along The Pacific Coast Highway we got an evening to ourselves and discovered this absolute gem of a location. Everyone we met was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Already planning a grownups trip back to Santa Barbara

The Funk Zone is a whole area in SB near the pier that has a cool funky vibe, very chill and social. Good food places, wineries, and shopping.

Very different. Very artsy parking is a little bit of a problem. But super friendly people everywhere. Definitely feel safe walking around. Everybody was helpful the areas well-maintained. Plenty of shopping and food choices. I had actually went to both wineries and distilleries. Checked out some of the vintage places. Planned on going back for dancing but never made it. A lot of activities going on everywhere. Just follow the signs.
